Dropping Dropping
It was few months ago when I first joined Entrecard. I remember I was blog hopping that day at ate Juliana's blog when I first saw an interesting image on her blog with a DROP sign on the bottom. Out of my curiosity, I clicked it and as I was redirected to the main site, I joined the site without even knowing what is it for. Actually I first thought it was a money generator website like triple p and other company that paid bloggers to post about certain product. After registration and copying codes, I have never visited the site again until few weeks ago when I saw more bloggers are using it especially my friends.
I then took time to read the site and how it really works as I heard it would really helps the traffic of your site or blog. And sure enough as I've learned dropping from one site to another, my traffic is getting better.

Rules For Happy Marriage
I snag this when I was dropping dropping around the blogosphere few days ago. I don't remember which blog but I hope the owner won't mind me getting this "10 Rules For Happy Marriage". When I read it I was like hum I don't agree with one or two of the rules. I am not an expert into marriage and I don't have any experience before that's I like reading things like this.
1. Never both be angry at the same time.
2. Never yell at each other unless the house is on fire.
3. If one of you has to win an argument, let it be your mate.
4. If you must criticize, do it lovingly.
5. Never bring up mistakes of the past.
6. Neglect the whole world rather than each other.

Why She Didn't Write Back
Husband and I used to talk online before I got here in US. That's why I can relate from this topic written by Caroline Presno, ED.D..P.C.C.. I would say that it's really frustrating for a man neither to a woman, when you reach out her/him online and she/he doesn't contact you back.
Here's most common reasons why you didn't hear from her, and ways to work around them so you can boost the number of email responses in your inbox.

I saw Oprah shows few days ago that tackles about some wife who was being Raped by their own husband. One of the guess was a winner of Mrs. America whom being raped by her own husband. I can’t describe her face in the picture where she was kicked, punch, threatened and raped. Another guess was a Sheriff who helps and protect other people. As she said, for the three years she’s been hurt her, both emotionally and physical, she was in total denial.
Most wives who are/were victims, would never see any signs because of the thought that they are married therefore they are supposed to give and obey their husband. But according to the law, once your husband forced you in doing things that is against your will it’s considered as “RAPED”…
To all wives out there who are victims and are still hiding and scared to come out… get help from your family, friends, police and attorney… Open your mind and always LOVE YOURSELF FIRST and don’t let anybody hurt you not even your husband.

I received a mail from Uncle Jacky just a while ago. At first I thought it is one of his jokes as I am used to receiving different jokes from him. Actually he always sends different emails to every member of the family. I was surprise when I opened it… the song If I Die Before You Wake was played. And oh boy it’s indeed a very beautiful and touching song dedicated to all the soldiers that’s fighting for the country… Is it worth dying for? … That’s the question that only “YOU” can answer. I believed that every one of us have different vocations in life. There might be time we get lost, but once you woke up from your nightmare and be dedicated to find your vacation… you will just know it because you can feel it….
Anyway, a big thanks to you my dear Uncle Jacky for sending me a wonderful email that contains a very beautiful song and lyrics.

Tired and Exhausted
I am so tired and exhausted right now but I still manage to get up because I can't just stop thinking of the Opps today since its Monday. I tried to sleep early last night but I can't sleep at all. All lights were off but my eyes remains wide open with lots of things in my mind. Believe it or not but the last time I saw the time before I went to sleep was 6:24 AM. Waaaaaaaaaa I can't believe it I was wake the whole night. Well. I think, like other people do... there are just some point of our life that we can't stop thinking of so many things that hinder us from having a good sleep... What a life!
Fourth Day
Yesterday was so hot that I could never take swimming at all no matter what. That’s why when hubby and his kids went to swim on the pool; I said nope I am not going to swim but I can work out in the gym which is located in front of the swimming pool. It really feels good when you work out and sweats a lot. It gives you more energy to do things and most of all it can give us a firm and sexy body and of course it is good for our health as well. Hopefully I would really lose weight soon and get firm body. I don’t see any results yet as it was only my fourth visit to the gym this month even. Even though the husband said I am trimming down some, my scale here doesn't agree with it at all hehehe. I am still having same weight since I started.

Bushmaster
Since I have been posting about animals in my previous post, I decided to continue doing it for a while. I think what got me to post about animals is because of our visit in Dallas Aquarium where there are probably hundreds of animals inside. But anyway, I read about another types of snakes called Bushmaster, a large venomous snake, Lachesis muta, of Central America and N South America. It is a member of the pit viper family, which also includes the rattlesnake. The largest New World snake, it reaches a length of 8 to 12 ft (2.5–5.5 m). It is gray and brown, with a diamond pattern. Unlike most pit vipers, which bear live young, the bushmaster lays eggs. It is classified in the phylum Chordata, subphylum Vertebrata, class Reptilia, order Squamata, family Crotalidae.

Water Moccasin
Water moccasin or so called cottonmouth is a highly venomous snake, Ancistrodon piscivorus, of the swamps and bayous of the United States. This is a pit viper and has a heat-sensitive organ for detecting warm-blooded prey. The young snake is a pale reddish brown with transverse dark brown bands edged with white; as it ages the colors dull to a blotched olive or brown and then to an unmarked olive or blackish in old specimens. The maximum length is 6 ft, the average from 3 to 4 ft. A good climber, the water moccasin often relaxes on branches overhanging the water. If startled it erects its head and shows the white interior of its mouth—hence the name cottonmouth. It eats both warm-blooded and cold-blooded animals. It is aggressive in the wild state but may become quite tame in captivity. It is classified in the phylum Chordata, subphylum Vertebrata, class Reptilia, order Squamata, family Crotalidae.

They use their powerful jaws to catch prey and their teeth to impale it, but they swallow most of their food whole. While the skin on a croc’s belly is thin and soft, the rest of its body is heavily armored with a bony element inside each scale. Also in the skin on its back a crocodile has stuctures that gather and hold heat, a form of solar power for this cold-blooded reptile.
Sensory cells in the skin around a crocodile’s mouth are believed to help find prey underwater, where its vision is poor. These cells seem to be able to detect subtle pressure changes in the water, which direct the crocodile to the prey’s movements.
Crocodiles's eyes have excellent vision, day and night, but they don’t cry crocodile tears. They do have top and bottom eyelids, along with a third eyelid that sweeps across the surface of the eye to both clean and protect it when the crocodile submerges.
Crocodile’s jaws have extremely strong muscles for closing down on prey. The muscles that open their jaws, however, are so weak they can be held closed with a rubber band. They also have flaps of skin in the back of the throat that allows them to hold prey in their mouths underwater.
Some crocodiles can actually gallop away from danger at speeds between 10 to 11 miles per hour.

English Shepherd Dog
According to legend, English Shepherds are almost pure Roman sheep and cattle dogs originally brought to the British Isles by Caesar in 55 B.C. The UKC has recognized this breed since 1934. The body, which may reach a length of 4 ft (120 cm), is hazel brown with chestnut-colored crossbands above and pinkish white with dark spots below. The head is a pale copper color. Copperheads inhabit rocky areas with thick underbrush, even in heavily populated regions. They feed chiefly on small mammals, but will also capture large insects, frogs, and other snakes. They are most active in late afternoon and early evening. The young are born alive. Copperheads are not aggressive and usually attempt escape when threatened, but they strike swiftly if startled or attacked. The bite causes severe pain and illness in humans but is seldom fatal. Copperheads are classified in the phylum Chordata, subphylum Vertebrata, class Reptilia, order Squamata, family Crotalidae.

Racer Snake
Racer snake is a name for several related swift, slender snakes, especially those of the genus Coluber. All of the racers are nonpoisonous, nonconstricting, day-active snakes. The black racer, C. constrictor, is easily confused with the constricting black rat snake, or pilot black snake (Elaphe obsoleta), which may account for its misleading Latin name. The black racer is satiny black, with a white patch on the chin, and may reach a length of 6 ft (180 cm) and a diameter of 1 1/2 in. (4 cm). It is found in E North America from Canada to Florida. It feeds primarily on small rodents, frogs, and young snakes, and is a valuable destroyer of vermin. One of the fastest-moving snakes, it has been clocked at over 3 1/2 mi (5.6 km) per hr. An aggressive snake, it will bite repeatedly if cornered; however, it can be tamed. The young, hatched from eggs, are pale gray, spotted with brown. The name is also applied to the related indigo snake (Drymarchon corais) and to some of the coachwhip snakes (Masticophis). The speckled racers are species of the genus Dryombius. All of the racers are classified in the phylum Chordata, subphylum Vertebrata, class Reptilia, order Squamata, family Colubridae.

Taking A Break...
I decided to take a break for a while and went to the pool with hubby. For my 25 years, I have never learned to swim even though we just live 5 to 10 minutes ride away from the beach… The truth is… when I was a kid; I didn’t give time to practice swimming because I used to wear a life jacket every time we go to the beach. Our family used to go to the beach the next day after special occasions or if any member of the family who live far away arrived grandma’s house for a visit.
My husband used to ask me “how come I don’t know how to swim if we just live few minutes ride away from the beach”… I think I answered it on my first paragraph lol. But anyway, now that the pool is just few walk away and now that I am really eager to lose weight, I am so determine to go to the pool and just practice swimming and lose weight at the same time… Hopefully I will lose at least a few if not that much…

English Foxhound Dog
I got interested of the name English Foxhound dog when I was reading something. I decided to search what it looks like and luckily found it's description. It says that English Foxhound Dog have a good voice, a keen nose, a rugged constitution and an ability to get along with other are all hallmarks of the English Foxhound. These dogs are bold, active, passionate hunters. They are responsive and obedient to their masters but their training takes patience. They are good with children and friendly with people but prefer to be in the company of other dogs. Grooming needs are minimal. Comb or brush regularly, but bath only when necessary. They are average shedders. Keep these dogs on a leash when walking or they will take off after interesting scents. They weigh 65 to 70 lbs. and stand 21-25" at the shoulders.
Reaching A Thousand
Oh wow I can't believe I already made a thousand paid post in triple P. I am really thankful to my friend Anne for introducing this blogging opportunity in me which makes me earn money up to these days. Staying at home is not easy because it bores me a lot but with the help of blogging, it helps me a lot. Aside from earning from it, I also met a lot of other Filipina which makes me feel at home.

Electric Bill
We received our first electric bill last night and hubby was not happy about how much they charged us for two weeks. In hubby's mind, the electric company might charge us from the previous weeks that this apartment was empty instead of charging us from the first day we moved in. I don't know exactly how things would work out but I hope they will be able to fix it as they promised to come over and check the meter or whatever they need to be check because the amount they charged us was very unreasonable. Imagine it's double from what we usually charged and not only that... our old house was 3 times bigger from where we are now so it's very impossible for us to consume so much electricity for this smaller apartment...

I am currently watching the TV show "The Bachelorette". I haven't seen this for a while since the day we've moved here in the apartment. I was surprised when I saw there's only two man left for DeAnna to choose from which means this is the final "Episodes". The day everyone has been looking forward to happen. Hum I wonder who DeAnna will choose... As of now, in the middle of the show, I would say, I like Jason. So I hope she will choose him...

Sleet
You might wandering why I posted this picture. I am not sure if you can see it but try to look at it closely or click the picture to make it bigger so you can see the small pieces of sleet. Sleet is a frozen rain. It is smaller than snow. That was the first time I saw a frozen rain. Some people who's driving on the road during the sleet said that it feels like there's so many sand falling from the sky.

Giant Pacific Cctopus
This is the Giant Pacific octopus we've seen in Dallas Aquarium which is also the largest of its kind. These gentle giants are harmless and shy. They have an average arm span of 15 feet and weigh between 10-60 pounds. Unusually large specimens have reached 100 - 600 pounds, with an arm span of 28 feet. They are able to change color instantly for protection and communication of emotions. The eight-armed creature has 240 suckers per limb. Its suckers are used for moving and grabbing food, mostly clams and crabs. If threatened, this invertebrate can produce an ink screen to confuse predators.

Getting Crazy In Here
I was so mad our connection was on and off. So I was thinking maybe there's something to do with our modem where we put in the bedroom. So out that thought, I went to the bedroom, unhook our modem and moved it here to the den where hubbies computer and my laptop is currently located. A young man was getting ready to graduate from college. For many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer's showroom and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted. As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father had purchased the car.
Finally, on the morning of his graduation his father called him into his private study. His father told him how proud he was to have such a fine son, and told him how much he loved him. He handed his son a beautiful wrapped gift box. Curious, but somewhat disappointed, the young man opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Bible, with the young man's name embossed in gold. Angrily, he raised his voice to his father and said,"With all your money you give me a Bible?"And stormed out of the house, leaving the Bible.
Many years passed and the young man was very successful in business. He had a beautiful home and wonderful family, but realized his father was very old and thought perhaps he should go to him. He had not seen him since that graduation day. Before he could make arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away, and willed all of his possessions to his son. He needed to come home immediately and take care of things. When he arrived at his father's house, sudden sadness and regret filled his heart.
He began to search through his father's important papers and saw the still new Bible, just as he had left it years ago. With tears, he opened the Bible and began to turn the pages. His father had carefully underlined a verse, Matthew 7:11,"And if ye, being evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Heavenly Father which is in heaven, give to those who ask Him?" As he read those words, a car key dropped from the back of the Bible. It had a tag with the dealer's name, the same dealer who had the sports car he had desired. On the tag was the date of his graduation, and the words...PAID IN FULL.
How many times do we miss God's blessing because they are not packaged as we expected? I trust you enjoyed this. Pass it on to others. Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; but remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for...
