Look at the picture, the mouse is not scared of being closed to the predator "cat". It is because Japanese scientist removed the certain receptors on the olfactory bulb of the their brains.

According to news, Japanese scientists have found out something, with their experiement with the cat and mouse that fear may be linked to the sense of smell, and can be switched off simply by shutting down certain receptors in the brain.
